Uffizi Gallery
The construction of the gallery was completed in 1580 by Vasari. Inside, the Medicis exhibited their important collections of works of art.
The museum includes many famous Italian Renaissance paintings including some by Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Botticelli or Giotto.

Palazzo Pitti : Palatine gallery and modern art gallery
The Palazzo Pitti houses the important collection of art of the Medici family, notably with the paintings of the palatine gallery. In addition it includes sumptuous apartments and the Boboli garden.
The construction of the palace began in 1457, being intended for the Florentine banker Lucca Pitti.
It was the Medici family who completed it. In 1560 it became the main residence of the latter, leaders of the city, who were before hosted in the Palazzo Vecchio.

Galleria dell’Academia
The Galleria dell’Accademia is a museum of Florence housed by the Academy of Drawing of Florence, located between the Duomo and Piazza San Marco.
Since 1873, it conserves some of Michelangelo’s most important works, including his David, which has become the emblem of the museum.
Palazzo Bargello
Since 1865 the palace has housed a national museum, the Museo Nazionale del Bargello, which hosts consecutive collections of Gothic and Renaissance sculptures.
Among the masterpieces are the Drunken Bacchus and the Bust of Brutus by Michelangelo (late 15th-early 16th century); David in marble and bronze, St. George and Marzocco by Donatello (early fifteenth); The Virgin of the Architects by Andrea della Robbia (1475); The Satyr with a bottle by Valerio Cigoli, the David in bronze and gold by Verrocchio (1476).
Built in the middle of the 13th century, the Palazzo Bargello was later extended.
In the sixteenth century, it housed the Council of Justice and then became a prison.
